Spring Healing

This Spring we have struggled with Jessica suffering a broken foot that required surgery. As of this week (last week in May) her post-op x-rays are looking great, and the doctor has cleared her to do more gentle walking around the house without “the boot”.

We are very grateful for her healing, and she is looking forward to not being so confined. Last Sunday was our first time back to church since Jessica’s broken foot, and it was great to see everyone again. James has taken over all house duties which has been very time consuming. James has been much more involved with Julia and her activities taking her to play dates and such, it’s been a good bonding time. Jessica and Julia have also spent some quality time on the couch together making rainbow loom projects. Our house is now covered in wonderful rubber band things. Most weeks James has only had a few hours available to give to engineering work. Thankfully the office has been very flexible and it’s been a bit of a slow period.

For James’ work, big changes are happening. The company he has been doing work for has stopped all commercial sales and is currently winding down all operations. We are praying for clarity on what comes next. James will start to knock on doors of other good potential clients as he has more time. For now we have to trust in God’s timing and his provision.

Julia is looking forward to her summer vacation. We plan to visit both sets of grandparents and Julia could not be more excited. She is also excited for the arrival of beach weather.

Spring in Greece is a wonderful time with good weather and beautiful wildflowers. A James and Cocoa have taken advantage of the good weather and started doing since longer walks into the hills near the house.

One Heart is looking forward to continuing the process of applying for its clinic permit. Things are finally moving again after a stagnant winter. We are also looking forward to the arrival of new team members this summer. We know God has great plans for this team at One Heart.
